Celebrating National Supported Internship Week

We’ve had a fantastic week celebrating our amazing Supported Interns.
The week started with Supported Interns from all our programmes attending DFN Project Search’s second annual Youth Parliament in the House of Commons.
This was an amazing opportunity for the young people to have their say and make their voice heard in Westminster.
Other events in the week included a cake sale at Merton Civic Centre which raised £220 for Mencap organised and run by the Merton Supported Interns. There was also a Parent Coffee Morning at the Sutton Life Centre.
The week ended with a splash of orange at head office in Sutton, to show our support for our very own OHC&AT supported Interns.
Staff wore orange and could add an orange ribbon to their outfits to show our support for our supported interns. There was also a selection of orange themed snacks for everyone to enjoy.
The whole week has been an amazing opportunity to come together, raise awareness and support for the Supported Internship programme.

Outcomes for learners are outstanding, teaching, learning and assessment are excellent and the extremely diverse programmes that meet learners’ individual needs, interests and aspirations, prepare them very well for life after College.
