Great work at Norwood and Brixton Food Bank

Anthony, one of our WorkStart students, has been working one morning a week at the Norwood and Brixton Food Bank this term. Anthony has been doing really well, and enjoys going to work.

The work has also enabled Anthony to embed maths as part of his learning while counting and packaging different food and non-food items.

Anthony’s cheerful and can-do attitude has made a great impression on the staff running the food bank and his enthusiasm contributes the large amount of packaging that he does every week.

Outcomes for learners are outstanding, teaching, learning and assessment are excellent and the extremely diverse programmes that meet learners’ individual needs, interests and aspirations, prepare them very well for life after College.
