National Careers Week 2021

It is National Careers Week 2021 and to celebrate we wanted to showcase some of the opportunities available through our WorkStart courses. All our courses provide opportunities for students to gain work experience in their chosen area, while gaining employability qualifications at the same time. Students work one to one with a Job Coach to get on track to achieving their dream job!

One student who initially joined WorkStart was unsure of which direction to progress her career, she was able to use the course as an opportunity to try out different paths. Eventually she was able to focus on her interest in baking and has since been able to start her own company with support from her Job Coach. Olivia is currently selling her cakes to local businesses and looks forward to re-starting her orders next month when restrictions are eased.

Outcomes for learners are outstanding, teaching, learning and assessment are excellent and the extremely diverse programmes that meet learners’ individual needs, interests and aspirations, prepare them very well for life after College.
