Iain’s “Lovin’ it”

Iain, one of our WorkStart students from 2014-15 is a great example of success. He is still working in his placement, has had several promotions, and has even been made Employee of the month on a few occasions and Employee of the year!
With the help from our WorkStart Team, Iain started working in McDonald’s in August 2015. By December 2015, he was Employee of the Month, and in 2016, he was made Employee of the Year. An amazing achievement. 2017 he won Hospitality of the Year
In 2019 Iain got promoted to Customer Experience Leader, a roll which he is really enjoying. He has moved over to a different branch now and is enjoying meeting all the new customers there and trying something new.
I still enjoy working for McDonald’s because I like working with the public.
Iain said “I really enjoy working for McDonald’s because I like working with the public. Orchard Hill College has helped because it gave me an idea about what it’s like being in a job and gave me new skills.”
Orchard Hill College are very proud of you, Iain. Well done on your excellent work!

Outcomes for learners are outstanding, teaching, learning and assessment are excellent and the extremely diverse programmes that meet learners’ individual needs, interests and aspirations, prepare them very well for life after College.
